Airport Reclamation and Development, Eilat

Upon the opening of a new airport outside the city of Eilat, the current airport land, some 700 dunam, will be reclaimed as an integral part of the urban fabric, This plan integrates the eastern and western parts of the city by creating major hotels, schools, housing, recreational facilities, and tourist attractions along a promenade and recreational waterway of nearly 2 kilometers in length. This will visually link this area to the Red Sea just beyond the southern tip of the project.  New streets and walkways will move through the project, dynamically unifying the city.
The plan also accommodates a new train terminal and tunnel that will provide Eilat with a rail link to the rest of the country.
