Shaalvim Community Synagogue,
Kibbutz Shaalvim

This landmark structure was originally designed by the late architect, Yosef Shenberger.  The challenge here was to renovate, update, and adapt the existing building to the current needs of the Kibbutz membership. 

The approach of community participation in the design process has been evolving over recent decades, but this project is a pioneering effort in this regard.  
AI's comprehensive, interactive and immersive modeling tools were made available to the Kibbutz so that the entire community was able to get a clear idea of the various design strategies as they evolved and directly influence them.

The first stage, including full use of the main sanctuary, was completed in June, 2018.
